Football Manager 2010 – How to Score a Lot of Goals Through Corner Kicks
Many people regard Football Manager 2010 as a difficult game, and learning all the ins and outs of the vast tactical system can be a daunting task. Learning to score lots of goals from corner kicks can give you the extra boost you need to win games while honing your tactics to perfection.
So how do you do it?
1. Set the first player with the highest corner taking ability as the one to take your corner. In my experience, it doesn’t matter if it’s right or left foot, it should work either way. If however you find that this is not the case, simply adjust it so that a left footed player takes corners on the left side, and vice versa.
2. Go to ‘Advanced’ and select the option that allows the corner kick taker to aim corner kicks at the edge of the penalty area.
3. Choose the player who is better at long distance shooting and order him to wait outside the penalty area.
4. Give your strongest player (preferably the tallest as well) the order to cover the goalkeeper.
5. Position the rest of the players according to your own mentality. If you want to stay more conservative, you can keep three or four players in your own defensive wing. I usually put a few players in the penalty area to wreak havoc and confuse defenders. If you have too few offensive players, it can leave the computer with enough defenders available to rush in and cover your shots from long range.
