However, a superior wrestler incorporates one solid combination at a time into their arsenal of high school wrestling moves. Here is a selection of high school wrestling moves for the top and bottom positions to increase the chances of bringing the opponent to the mat.
At the top of their game
These high school wrestling moves are meant for when the wrestler is in first position. They aim to go beyond basic single and double kills, which are somewhat predictable and therefore easier to defend against.
Many wrestlers like to perform the fireman’s carry, which begins the same way as the double leg takedown. However, instead of aiming for the opponent’s legs, the attacker reaches under their opponent’s arms to grab one arm while pushing the other arm between their legs.
